Dr. Emily Hobson is a native of Shreveport and is a graduate of Caddo Magnet High School, Centenary College, and LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. She completed her internship and residency in general pediatrics at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2004. In 2004 she started Lake Pediatrics at Denham Springs, a primary care pediatric office in the Our Lady of the Lake Primary Care Physician Network. In 2007, she and her husband returned home to Shreveport where Dr. Hobson joined Mid City Pediatrics. Dr. Hobson is certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Hobson is married to Dr. David Hobson, who is the director of the Centenary College Choir, professor at the Hurley School of Music, and Director of Music at First United Methodist Church. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. When not at work, she can be found volunteering with her children or traveling the world with the Centenary College Choir.
